This set of two large-scale painting are by the American painter Nathan Solano and were a private commission (1988). Solano is known for his paintings of the American west and here he has captured the tropical and coastal landscape with an essence of the saturated desert colors he is so well known for. Each painting is signed on the front of the canvas by the artist and also signed and dated on the backside of the canvas.
