CIS Enameled & Jeweled Eggplant Brooch/Pin. Countess Cis (Cissy) Zoltowska, her design career began in 1951 hand painting cuff links. By the mid 1950s she started working for Pierre Balmain and Jacques Fath. She also worked for Balenciaga for 14 years. Her Jewelry was sold at Bonwit Teller under Countess Zoltowska and at Lord and Taylor under Cis of Paris. The brooch consists of lavender crackle cabochon stones and faceted amethyst colored stones in different sizes. The cabochons are open backed, while the amethyst colored stones have foil backs. The top cap of the eggplant is scalloped enameled filigree. The piece measures about 4 inches long by 2 inches wide, and is signed CIS with the Crown marking.
