Dujay Plique a Jour Chinese Woman Clip

Dujay Plique a Jour Chinese Woman Clip

Dujay Plique a Jour Chinese Woman Clip. Circa 1940s. Plique a Jour is a process of enameling in which usually transparent enamels are fused into the openings of a metal filigree to produce a stained glass look. This is a rare piece, and in great condition. The clip measures about 3 inches long and 1 3/4 inches wide. The headdress is quite elaborate, with enameled dragons on left and right sides, and clear, red and green stones. Her earrings consist of fine goldtone chain fringe, which dangles and moves. The tunic consists of rows of clear rhinestones and the Plique a Jour application in a green floral design.
