Huge 38" tall French Antique early 19Th C. Amphora shaped Brasero made of Pink and White earthenware or Clay (terre mêlée) with applied Faience accents. The Glazed accents are White Laurel Wreaths with Lion heads on a pink glazed clay traditional to Apt, in the south of France. There are surface lines that look like cracks, this is original to the clay when fired in the kiln. The Amphora is solid. This Amphora has a 12" by 12" base.
