Mimi d N (Mimi Niscemi)Acrylic Necklace. She was born in Sicily and in the 1950s she began working for a jewelry manufacturer which produced jewelry for Elsa Schiaparelli, and Arnold Scassi. She opened her own shop in 1960. Known for elaborate and bold designs, the necklace consists of pale clear yellow and green multi faceted beads. The beads on the back underside of the necklace, are woven together to lay comfortably on the neck, much like necklaces by Coppola e Toppo. The top of the necklace consists of alternating length strands of small yellow, and larger green multi faceted beads, with rhinestone rondels in between each. The necklace measures about 15 inches around neck and about 3 inches wide.
