Large and graphic The Manipulator magazines. We have various issues between 1985 and 1988, priced each. Please inquire. T-shirts, pop stars, politics… 1984 was larger than life. But even then, The Manipulator magazine was massive… At 70cm tall and more than a metre across a double page it was almost too big to be true. Larger than most tables, it could only be read spread out on the floor of a cool loft apartment! Advertisers loved the large format. Huge iconic images from Calvin Klein and Versace filled prime pages and even centre spreads, typically reserved for editorial. The messages werent always commerical. Katherine Hamnetts t-shirts called for an end to nuclear arms and acid rain. The kids wore cheap Frankie rip-offs from the market. source:mineralism
